I have been taking pictures for quite sometime now. One of the first cameras I remember owning was the iPhone 4 from 2010. When I was a kid this is the main camera I used until I got a Canon PowerShot from 2011. Up until recently I had mainly just been taking pictures on iPhone cameras. The first camera I bought with my own money was the Canon Vixia HF R800. I got that camera because I was very into making YouTube videos at the time.
I used that camera primarly for video projects and YouTube videos, so not really actual photography. Another camera I clearly remember buying is the Canon G7x Mark II. I used that camera for a long time and I absolutely loved it! Sadly it met an unfortunate fate as it suffered water damage and died. At the time I used to for both videos and photography, it had really good quality for both photos and videos.
I did not get another new camera until I got my first DSLR camera, which was the Canon Rebel T6i. I also got it on offerup for $300 just like the G7x Mark II. I still have this camera to this day. It has been the camera which I have taken most of my best photos on. Even though it is 10 years old now it still holds up extremely well and is one of my favorite cameras ever. Recently when I visited a dead mall I was very glad to have this camera. My only complaint with the camera is the autofocus during video can be hit or miss.
Since I have owned many different cameras over the years, I have learned that Canon cameras are the best(in my opinion). Canon cameras provide color accurate images and a intuitive user interface. When it comes to digicams so far Kodaks EasyShares have been my favorite. I favor their use of standard SD cards and standard rechargable AA batteries.
Overall photography is very fun hobby for me and I have had a lot of fun with it over the years. Digicams in particular have recently been a new interest for me as the nostalgic aesthetic is very cool. I will enjoy doing photography for years to come!
